Import Authority

BPOM / Barantin (Agricultural Quarantine Agency)

Barantin (Indonesia's national agricultural, fishery and food quarantine agency) issues the Surat Rekomendasi Pemasukan (SRP) import recommendation and conducts border quarantine inspection for plant products. BPOM (the National Agency of Drug and Food Control) registers processed foods for a Foreign Food Registration Number (ML) and issues the Surat Keterangan Impor (SKI) entry permit for each shipment. BPJPH administers mandatory halal certification.

Halal Certification Required

All food products entering Indonesia must carry halal certification from a BPOM / Barantin (Agricultural Quarantine Agency)-approved certifying body. Oceanis coordinates halal documentation as part of standard export compliance.
