When It's Harvested
Castor is a Kharif crop in Gujarat — sown July–August, harvested October–January in a staggered picking pattern. The plant doesn't deliver all seeds at once; it's picked repeatedly over 3–4 months. Once cold-pressed or solvent-extracted into oil, castor is shelf-stable and ships year-round. Commercial/hydraulic, pharma-grade (USP/BP), and first special/pale pressed grades are produced at different refining stages — specify grade, purity specification, and REACH/certification requirement on enquiry.
