Origin & Traceability

Sourced from India's Mango Processing Belt

Geographic Origin

Alphonso processing facilities source from Ratnagiri/Sindhudurg (Maharashtra); Totapuri from Andhra Pradesh; Kesar from Saurashtra (Gujarat). The variety determines flavor profile: Alphonso gives the most aromatic, premium-priced mango jam; Totapuri gives a tangier, higher-volume product; Kesar is a mid-position. Netherlands (₹133 Cr) and Saudi Arabia are primary export markets; private-label production for Gulf and European supermarket chains is a growing order pattern.

Harvest Cycle & Availability

When It's Harvested

Mango harvest concentrates March–June. Jam production is processed during and immediately after harvest for optimal fruit quality. Once cooked and hermetically sealed, mango jam ships year-round with 18–24 month shelf life. Alphonso jam (Ratnagiri) is the highest-value SKU and allocates fastest — place orders before February for the following season. Totapuri is available in larger quantities with more flexible lead times.

Frequently Asked Questions

Buyer Questions, Answered

What is the difference between mango pulp (HSN 08045040) and mango jam (HSN 20079910) — what do different buyers need?

Mango pulp (HSN 08045040): bulk aseptic or frozen industrial input for juice manufacturers, beverage brands, and dairy processors — minimal processing, natural fruit characteristics preserved. Mango jam (HSN 20079910): finished cooked product (fruit ≥45%, Brix 65–68°, stabilised with pectin and acid) — retail and food-service-ready product. If you manufacture juice, nectars, or smoothies, you want pulp. If you distribute retail preserves, food-service condiments, or institutional catering, you want jam. We supply both — see our Mango Pulp page for the industrial input.

Can you supply private-label mango jam for retail distribution?

Yes — private-label glass jar production available. We supply in 200g or 500g twist-off glass jars with your brand, label design, and nutritional information printed to your specifications. Minimum order for private-label varies by run size — discuss your annual volume target and we'll confirm MOQ and lead time. Brix and variety (Alphonso/Totapuri/blend) can be adjusted to your recipe.

What food-safety certification and shelf-life documentation applies to mango jam for EU and US import?

Certifications: ISO 22000, HACCP, APEDA Registration, FSSAI License — standard for every shipment. For Netherlands/EU: preservative and additive labeling must comply with EC 1333/2008; sugar-content declaration required. For USA: FDA food-facility registration, compliance with 21 CFR acidified food or pH-controlled product regulations. Shelf life is 18–24 months at ambient temperature — production date and batch number on every jar for traceability.

What is your MOQ and what payment terms do you accept for first-time buyers?

Standard MOQ: 1×20ft FCL. Private-label minimum may differ — confirm at enquiry stage. Payment: 60% advance + 40% against BL copy. Terms improve — 50/50 on second, 40/60 on third. LC at sight for established buyers.

Quality Assurance

Our Commitment

Every mango jam batch undergoes microbiological testing (Total Plate Count, yeast/mold), preservative-level verification, and Brix measurement. Private-label production available.
